Why this is not the retail version
A public snorkel trip to Snoopy Island is AED 350–400 and it is a good half-day. It is also a shared boat, a shared beach, and a two-hour drive each way that a company would have to organise for itself.
The resort day access is what changes the day. Without it a group of forty spends six hours on a public beach with no shade, no lockers and no showers, and gets back on a coach wet. With it there is a pool, loungers, somewhere to change, and somewhere to sit at two in the afternoon when the sun is at its worst.
A marine guide in the water is the second thing. In any group of forty, five people are strong swimmers and eight are nervous. Waves of twelve with a guide alongside is what gets the nervous eight onto the reef, and they are the ones who talk about it afterwards.
The strategic argument is that it is the other coast. Every marine package in this catalog — the dhows, the yachts, the fishing — is on the Gulf side, out of Dubai. This is the Gulf of Oman, two hours over a mountain range, with actual coral and a genuine chance of turtles. For a company whose team has done every marina in Dubai, it is the sea trip that is not another marina.
