Why this is not the retail version
A Museum of the Future ticket is AED 149 and everybody knows it, because it is the most-photographed building in the country and half the office has already been. So the price has to be defended honestly: at AED 550 a person, the two attractions are AED 213 of it.
The rest is the sequence and the slot. Museum of the Future runs timed entry and sells out weeks ahead; a walk-up group of forty does not get in on a Thursday evening at any price. The 17:45 slot at dusk is specifically requested because the façade's Arabic calligraphy is lit from inside at that hour and from outside twenty minutes later, and that is the photograph the client actually wants.
Then it is a coach, not four Ubers. Museum to Sky Views to dinner to the fountain is 3.5 km of Downtown traffic at peak hour, and a group that self-organises it loses an hour and half the people.
The real argument is the calendar. Between May and September this catalog can offer indoor rooms, a mall, a theme park and a snow slope. This is the only package that offers something the client would actually want to do — outdoors is impossible, so the whole day is indoor and after dark. It is the summer answer for a team that would find IMG beneath them.
